Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat flour - 1/2 cup.
  • Flour (maida) - 1/2 cup.
  • Besan (chick peas flour) - 1/2 cup.
  • Boiled, mashed Potatoes - 1/3 cup.
  • Poppy Seeds - 2 tsp.
  • Hot oil - 3 tbsp.
  • Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Water - to mix.

How to Make Potato Poories

  • Combine all the ingredients except water.
  • Add just enough water to make a firm dough.
  • Keep covered for 15 mins.
  • Divide into 20 balls and roll out to about 3 mm thick poories.
  • Deep fry in moderately hot oil till golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with chutney, raitha or sauce.
