Ingredients

  • 3 -potato.
  • 2 tbsp - coconut, grated.
  • 1 cup - Yoghurt (sour).
  • 3 - green chillies.
  • 1 inch piece - ginger.
  • .
  • For Tempering:
  • mustard.
  • urad dhal.
  • red chillies.
  • Asafoetida powder.
  • curry leaves.

  • For Garnish:
  • Cilantro or coriander leaves|

How to Make Potato Raitha

  • Boil the potatoes with skin, peel them and mash them coarsely.
  • Grind green chillies, sliced ginger and coconut and dissolve the paste in beaten yogurt.
  • Add the mixture to the potatoes and mix well with salt.
  • Add the tempering finally.
  • Garnish with finely chopped cilantro leaves.
  • Serve with hot rice.
