Ingredients

  • 3 -potato.
  • 2 tbsp - coconut, grated.
  • 1 cup - Yoghurt (sour).
  • 3 - green chillies.
  • 1 inch piece - ginger.
  • .
  • For Tempering:
  • mustard.
  • urad dhal.
  • red chillies.
  • Asafoetida powder.
  • curry leaves.
  • .
  • For Garnish:
  • Cilantro or coriander leaves|
  • How to Make Potato Raitha:

    1. Boil the potatoes with skin, peel them and mash them coarsely.
    2. Grind green chillies, sliced ginger and coconut and dissolve the paste in beaten yogurt.
    3. Add the mixture to the potatoes and mix well with salt.
    4. Add the tempering finally.
    5. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro leaves.
    6. Serve with hot rice.
