  • 1 kg - baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 cups - fresh button mushrooms
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - crushed peppercorns
  • 5-6 tbsp - loomi (dried lime) powdered
  • 1 cup - fresh coriander leaves
  • Water
  • Oil as required

How to Make Potatoes and mushrooms in loomi sauce

  • Heat oil. Add onions and mushrooms.
  • Fry until mushrooms have turned brown.
  • Add powdered loomi, salt to taste, potatoes and enough water to cook the potatoes.
  • Cook until the gravy is thick.
  • Add pepper and chopped coriander.
  • Serve as a dish with saffron flavoured rice.
