Ingredients

  • 1 kg - baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 cups - fresh button Mushrooms
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - crushed peppercorns
  • 5-6 tbsp - loomi (dried lime) powdered
  • 1 cup - fresh Coriander leaves
  • Water
  • Oil as required
  • How to Make Potatoes and mushrooms in loomi sauce:

    1. Heat oil. Add onions and mushrooms.
    2. Fry until mushrooms have turned brown.
    3. Add powdered loomi, salt to taste, potatoes and enough water to cook the potatoes.
    4. Cook until the gravy is thick.
    5. Add pepper and chopped coriander.
    6. Serve as a dish with saffron flavoured rice.
