  • 3 or 4 - medium size Potatoes peeled and cut into quarters.
  • 2 - onions, chopped finely.
  • few curry leaves.
  • 1 tsp - Ginger paste.
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste.
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - spice powder or Garam Masala powder.
  • 2 - medium size tomatoes, chopped.
  • 2 tbsp - oil.
  • salt to taste.

How to Make Potatoes And tomato Curry

  • Wash and soak the potatoes in a little water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, spice powder, ginger paste, garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
  • Now add the potatoes and mix well.
  • Add 1 cup of water and cook on low heat till the potatoes are cooked and the gravy thickens.
  • Add more water if more gravy is required.
  • Serve as a main curry or a side dish with rice.
