Ingredients

  • 4 - Big potatoes, boiled and cut into cubes.
  • 2 - Medium, Onions sliced.
  • 1 - Big tomato, chopped finely.
  • 2 tsp - Chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp - Sugar.
  • 1/2 cup - Tamarind juice/paste.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 tbsp - oil.
  • How to Make Potatoes In A Tangy Gravy:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and saute the finely sliced onions until pink.
    2. Now add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar and saute until the tomatoes soften and the oil leaves the sides of the pan.
    3. Now mix the tamarind juice/paste and the potatoes in it.
    4. Cover and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
    5. Serve with rice and any Indian bread.
