Ingredients

  • 4 - Big potatoes, boiled and cut into cubes.
  • 2 - Medium, Onions sliced.
  • 1 - Big tomato, chopped finely.
  • 2 tsp - Chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp - Sugar.
  • 1/2 cup - Tamarind juice/paste.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 tbsp - oil.

How to Make Potatoes In A Tangy Gravy

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the finely sliced onions until pink.
  • Now add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar and saute until the tomatoes soften and the oil leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Now mix the tamarind juice/paste and the potatoes in it.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  • Serve with rice and any Indian bread.
