  • Pottukkadalai powder - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 4 cups
  • Onions - 2 or 3
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp (if necessary)
  • Curry Leaves and Coriander Leaves
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp

How to Make Pottukkadalai Bonda

  • Cut onions into very small pieces and mix with salt.
  • Mash the onions well and add pottukkadalai powder, rice flour, finely cut green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chilli powder and ghee.
  • Mix everything well and add a little water if necessary.
  • Make small balls out of this dough and deep fry in oil.
  • Take it out from oil when it turns into a golden colour.
  • Serve with coconut chutney.
