Ingredients

  • 1 - Onion (medium sized).
  • 2 tbsp - Ginger and Garlic (grated together).
  • Spice of your choice or use 1 tsp - black pepper (coarsely ground)| Other spices:
  • 1 fresh chilli and 1/4 th cup fresh coriander (chopped).
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 cup - instant mashed Potato (dry).
  • 1/4 pound - medium shrimps (peeled and cooked).
  • Juice of half Lemon or 2 tbsp - bottled Lemon juice.
  • 2 - eggs (lightly beaten).
  • 1/8th cup - melted butter.
  • 1 - lightly beaten Egg for dipping.
  • Bread crumbs.
  • oil for deep-frying.
  • How to Make Prawn fritters:

    1. Finely chop the onion, shrimps and the chillies if used.
    2. Mix well all the ingredients except the last two. Use water if needed to make dough type consistency.
    3. Roll into small finger shapes.
    4. Dip into eggs then roll in breadcrumbs and deep fry until golden brown.
