Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg - Prawns
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1 - eggplant, small, chopped into cubes
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Dhania powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • To grind:
  • 1 bundle - coriander
  • 12 Cloves - Garlic
  • 2 red (Kashmiri) + 2 green - chillies
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/2 - grated Coconut
  • How to Make Prawn Patia:

    1. Fry the onions till light brown. Add ground masala and fry well.
    2. Add 1 tsp each of turmeric, dhania and chilli powder.
    3. Add a chopped tomato and fry well.
    4. Add prawns, eggplants and enough water to cook.
    5. Add salt, jaggery (or a tsp of sugar) and tamarind juice to taste.
    6. Ready to serve.
