  • For the dough:
  • 1 cup- Maida
  • 1/2 tsp -yeast
  • 1/2 tsp-sugar
  • 1/4 tsp- salt
  • warm water
  • 1 tbsp-oil
  • For Prawn masala
  • 10 -prawns large
  • 1-onion
  • 1/2" piece- Ginger
  • 2- Garlic
  • 1-tomato - small
  • 1/2 tsp -coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp -chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp-turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp -prawn masala/chicken masala
  • 1-capsicum - small
  • For the pizza mix.
  • 1 tbsp-garlic
  • 1-onion
  • 1 can-peeled Tomato (225g)
  • 1-tomato paste - small tin
  • 1/2 tsp- Oregano leaves grinded (dry)
  • 1 cube-chicken stock
  • 1 pinch-sugar

How to Make Prawn Pizza

  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in little warm water and keep it aside.
  • In a bowl, mix maida and salt.
  • When the yeast mixture froths, pour this into maida and knead.
  • Use a little warm water also.
  • Add 1 tbsp. of oil to this and make a soft dough.
  • Cover this bowl with a wet cloth and keep it for some time.
  • When the dough rises, punch it down and keep it aside.
  • Method for prawn masala:
  • Heat a little oil in a pan.
  • Add crushed ginger and garlic and saute.
  • Then add diced onions and saute.
  • After that add chopped tomatoes and saute.
  • Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute.
  • Add the chopped prawns, salt and masala.
  • Cover and cook for some time.
  • When it is almost done, add diced capsicum and saute for a while.
  • Method For the pizza mix:
  • Heat little oil in a frying pan.
  • Add finely chopped garlic and saute.
  • Then add finely chopped onion and saute.
  • After that add ground oregano leaves and chicken stock.
  • Saute. Add the mixture of peeled tomato and tomato paste (blend in a mixer).
  • Cover and lower the flame.
  • Cook for about 1 hour in a very low flame.
  • Add a pinch of sugar at the end and cook for a while.
  • When it becomes cool, store in a bottle and keep it in fridge.
  • Pre heat the oven at 200 degree C.
  • Flatten the dough in a baking tray and pork with fork all over the dough.
  • Bake for 10 mins.
  • Take it out and spread the pizza mix.
  • Then spread the prawn masala and sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on the top.
  • Bake the top for about 8 mins till the cheese melts.
