Ingredients

  • 750 gm - prawns, peeled and de-veined
  • 1 tbsp -lemon juice
  • 2 cups - coconut milk
  • 1 cup - diced brinjal
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2 cups - diced onions
  • 6 green chillies - chopped
  • 1 ginger, chopped
  • 6 pods garlic, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • For Paste:
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 3 to 4 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - coriander seeds

How to Make Prawn Temperado

  • Heat the oil, add the sliced onion and saute.
  • Add the chopped green chillies, ginger and garlic and stir fry till glossy.
  • Add the prawns over high heat and saute till they change colour.
  • Lower the flame and add the ground masala.
  • Fry on a high heat till the masala is completely cooked.
  • Add the brinjals and coconut milk and bring to a boil.
  • Add salt to taste and the garam masala.
  • Simmer till the brinjal is completely cooked.
  • Serve hot.
