Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheets - 1.
  • Carrot - 1.
  • Potato - 1.
  • Peas - 1/4 cup.
  • Butter.
  • Egg - 1 (only yolk).
  • Onions - 2 (medium size).
  • tomatoes - 2 (medium size).
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tsp (or) Curry powder - 1 tsp.
  • Chilli powder - 3/4 tsp.
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp.

How to Make Puff Pastry

  • Keep the pastry sheet outside for 30 minutes.
  • Cut onions and tomatoes finely.
  • Cut carrot, potato into a small pieces.
  • Heat a tawa with some oil, add onion and fry till it becomes soft.
  • Add tomatoes and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add vegetables and fry.
  • Add coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and fry well.
  • Sprinkle some water and allow the vegetables to cook until it becomes soft (fully cooked).
  • Add lemon juice and mix it well and keep it aside.
  • Cut the pastry sheet into 4 pieces.
  • Brush the pastry sheet with a little butter and place the masala mixture inside the pastry sheet.
  • Cover the edges of the pastry sheet using a little water.
  • Brush the top portion of the pastry sheet with a little butter.
  • Then brush the top portion with a little egg yolk.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Brush the baked sheet with a little butter.
  • Allow it to cook for 45 minutes or until it becomes light brown.
