Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheets - 1.
  • Carrot - 1.
  • Potato - 1.
  • Peas - 1/4 cup.
  • Butter.
  • Egg - 1 (only yolk).
  • Onions - 2 (medium size).
  • Tomatoes - 2 (medium size).
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp (or) Curry powder - 1 tsp.
  • Chilli powder - 3/4 tsp.
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp.
  • How to Make Puff Pastry:

    1. Keep the pastry sheet outside for 30 minutes.
    2. Cut onions and tomatoes finely.
    3. Cut carrot, potato into a small pieces.
    4. Heat a tawa with some oil, add onion and fry till it becomes soft.
    5. Add tomatoes and fry for 2 minutes.
    6. Add vegetables and fry.
    7. Add coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and fry well.
    8. Sprinkle some water and allow the vegetables to cook until it becomes soft (fully cooked).
    9. Add lemon juice and mix it well and keep it aside.
    10. Cut the pastry sheet into 4 pieces.
    11. Brush the pastry sheet with a little butter and place the masala mixture inside the pastry sheet.
    12. Cover the edges of the pastry sheet using a little water.
    13. Brush the top portion of the pastry sheet with a little butter.
    14. Then brush the top portion with a little egg yolk.
    15. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
    16. Brush the baked sheet with a little butter.
    17. Allow it to cook for 45 minutes or until it becomes light brown.
