Ingredients

  • 40 g - butter
  • 200 g - mashed pumpkin
  • 225 g - flour
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1.5 tbsp - finely chopped coriander
  • 2 tsp - chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 tbsp - of milk
  • For sweet scorn
  • 60 g - butter
  • 55 g - castor sugar
  • 1 - egg yolk
  • 440 g - mashed pumpkin
  • 375 g - flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 5 tbsp - milk

How to Make Pumpkin Scones

  • Mix flour, baking powder, chilli flakes, coriander and salt
  • Add butter and mashed pumpkin and milk to form a dough.
  • Roll the dough to about 2 to 2.5 cm thick and cut into 5 cm rounds . Brush with milk for glazing and bake for about 15-18 mins in oven preheated to about 200 C. till they turn pale brown.
  • For sweet scone
  • Mix flour, sugar and salt.
  • Add butter, yolk and mashed pumpkin and add required amount of milk and knead the dough.
  • Roll the dough to about 2 to 2.5 cm think and cut into 5 cm rounds.
  • Brush with milk for glazing and bake for about 15-18 minutes in oven preheated to about 200 C, they will turn pale brown
