Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Toor Dal
  • 1/4 kg - Pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut
  • 4-5 - Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • Oil
  • How to Make Pumpkin With Dal Curry:

    1. Pressure cook the dal.
    2. Then cut the pumpkins and boil them with a little salt & turmeric.
    3. Grind coconut, jeera & red chillies to a fine paste.
    4. When the pumpkins are cooked, add the dal and stir.
    5. Now add the ground paste and bring to a boil. This gravy should not be too watery.
    6. Now in a pan, pour a little coconut oil, put mustard seeds in it and allow it to splutter.
    7. Then add a little grated coconut, fry for a second and add this to the gravy.
    8. Serve it with rice.
