Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - mutton, cut into medium pieces
  • 4 - large tomatoes, diced
  • 3 - large onions, sliced
  • 2 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - salt or to taste
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - Vinegar
  • A pinch of Turmeric
  • 4 - green chillies, slit into two, lengthwise
  • 2-3 tbsp - fresh coriander leaves, chopped

How to Make Punja bhuna mutton

  • Combine mutton, tomatoes, onions, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Cook in the kadai/wok until the mutton is cooked and dry.
  • Add oil and stir fry the mutton until the oil floats to the top.
  • Add the vinegar and cook on low heat for 10 mins.
  • Serve hot, garnished with green chillies and fresh coriander.
