Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - mutton, cut into medium pieces
  • 4 - large tomatoes, diced
  • 3 - large onions, sliced
  • 2 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - salt or to taste
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - Vinegar
  • A pinch of Turmeric
  • 4 - green chillies, slit into two, lengthwise
  • 2-3 tbsp - fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • How to Make Punja bhuna mutton:

    1. Combine mutton, tomatoes, onions, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
    2. Cook in the kadai/wok until the mutton is cooked and dry.
    3. Add oil and stir fry the mutton until the oil floats to the top.
    4. Add the vinegar and cook on low heat for 10 mins.
    5. Serve hot, garnished with green chillies and fresh coriander.
