Ingredients

  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Wheat flour - 1.5 cups
  • Yogurt - 4 tsp
  • Whole peppercorns - 10
  • Milk - 3/4 cup
  • Water - 3/4 cup
  • Ghee - 2 cups
  • How to Make Pura:

    1. Make a batter of wheat and yoghurt, using milk and water. Whip till smooth.
    2. Add the 10 peppercorns. Keep aside and allow it to ferment for 2 hours.
    3. Heat ghee on a medium flame. Drop large spoonfuls into the ghee and make small puris. Fry till golden colour.
    4. Drain and serve with cream.
