Ingredients

  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • Potatoes - 3
  • Onions - 2
  • Green chillies - 8
  • Garlic - 5
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric -1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Tamarind - a little
  • Coriander leaves - 2 sprigs

How to Make Quick Aloo Palak

  • Heat oil in pan, add chopped onions, garlic and green chillies. Saute.
  • Add finely chopped spinach leaves and potatoes cut into medium sized cubes.
  • Sprinkle 1/4 cup of water and close the pan. Stir occasionally.
  • After 10-15 minutes, when the spinach and potatoes are cooked, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, tamarind and salt.
  • Add 1/4 more cup of water and stir in high flame. Remove from flame.
  • Add chopped coriander and butter for garnishing. Serve hot.
