Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Rava
  • 1 cup - Besan
  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Dry fruits like Almonds and cashewnuts, crushed
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1 tbsp - gond (gum)
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • A few slivers of Almond for garnishing

How to Make Quick Besan Rava Panjiri

  • Heat ghee in a kadai. Add rava and stir it till it is roasted.
  • Add besan and roast it.
  • Stir the mixture continuously on low flame.
  • In another utensil, heat 1 tsp of ghee.
  • Fry gond in the ghee and crush it; add it to the dry fruit mix.
  • Add this mix to rava besan mixture.
  • In a saucepan, take 1.5 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar.
  • Boil till you get a 1-string thread.
  • Add the above mix in the sugar solution and stir continuously.
  • Remove to a plate and garnish with cardamom powder and dry fruits.
  • Allow to cool and cut into diamond shapes.
