  • 5 bread slices
  • 3 tbsp - green chutney
  • oil for deep frying
  • For the Batter:
  • 1/2 cup - gram flour
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • sufficient water to make the batter
  • a pinch cooking soda
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Quick Bread Pakodas:

    1. For the Gram Flour Batter:
    2. In a bowl mix together gram flour, cooking soda, salt, red chilli powder and coriander leaves.
    3. Add sufficient water and make a little thick batter (sufficient to coat the bread slices).
    4. For the Pakodas:
    5. Evenly apply green chutney between two bread slices and cut diagonally into two.
    6. Dip each piece in the gram flour mixture and deep fry on medium flame till golden.
    7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
