Ingredients

  • Chicken legs - 4 pieces
  • Soaked Rice - 2 cups
  • Coriander leaves - 4 sprigs
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Powdered masalas
  • Haldi - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Dhaniya powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Whole masalas
  • Cloves - 2-3
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Peppercorns - 7-10
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1
  • How to Make Quick Chicken Biryani:

    1. Put chicken in water and boil it with 1/4 tsp of haldi, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, a green chilli cut in two.
    2. In a pressure cooker, heat some oil and add whole masalas.
    3. Once they start spluttering, add some ginger-garlic paste.
    4. Add the powdered masalas and a little water for the masala to cook. Keep stirring every couple of minutes.
    5. Once the water evaporates, add the chicken.
    6. Add rice and mix well with the chicken.
    7. Add some water, and close the lid.
    8. Turn off the heat after 3 whistles.
    9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
