Ingredients

  • 2 - Chicken legs (whole)
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Haldi (turmeric) powder
  • 1 tsp - Dhania powder
  • 1 tsp - Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste or 4-5 Garlic pods crushed
  • 3-4 - small Tomatoes
  • a handful of French beans (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • a loaf of fresh bread
  • How to Make Quick Chicken:

    1. Rub salt and a little garlic paste into the chicken, and leave for 10 mins.
    2. To save on cooking time, put the chicken and beans into the cooker with some water and cook for 4-5 minutes after the whistle.
    3. Mix the spices and garlic paste. (You can use pre-prepared curry masalas instead of these spices for variety.)
    4. Drain the chicken from the stock and keep aside to cool for a few minutes.
    5. Once cool and dry, rub the spice mixture into the chicken.
    6. Keep the French beans aside to serve as they are.
    7. Chop the tomatoes into quarters and fry in oil.
    8. Once softened, add the chicken and fry thoroughly.
    9. Serve the chicken on a plate with French beans on the side, with thick chunks of fresh bread.
