Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Chana (pressure cooked with salt)
  • 1 - small sliced Onion
  • 4-5 - Cloves
  • 1-2 - Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1 tsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 3-4 tbsp - Tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • For garnishing:
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • A few long pieces of Ginger
  • A few Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Quick Chole:

    1. Place a kadai on the stove and add oil.
    2. When it gets hot, add the jeera and ginger-garlic paste.
    3. Add onion pieces and saute till it becomes brown.
    4. Pour in the puree, add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, cloves and cinnamon and mix well.
    5. Stir till the oil leaves the sides.
    6. Then add the boiled chana and some water to it. Keep boiling it for 5 minutes.
    7. Add the garam masala to it. Remove from fire.
    8. Fry the ginger pieces in some oil and garnish chana with the ginger pieces, chillies and coriander leaves.
