Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 1 tsp - Methi seeds (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Quick Idli:

    1. Pre-preparation:
    2. Soak rice, urad dal and methi seeds in water.
    3. Leave it overnight.
    4. Grind the mixture and leave it for a day.
    5. Preparation:
    6. Grease the idli moulds and spoon the batter into them.
    7. Heat water in the idli cooker.
    8. Steam cook for about 12-15 mins on high.
    9. Turn off the gas and leave it for 15-20 mins.
    10. Serve it with hot sambar or with chutney.
