  • 1 tin - condensed milk
  • 100 gms - butter
  • 200 gms - biscuits
  • 100 gms - jelly (preferably red in colour)
  • 1 tbsp - gelatine
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup - cream (optional)
  • 2 tbsp - chopped nuts (optional)

How to Make Quick Jelly Slices

  • Crush the biscuits.
  • Melt butter and mix it in biscuit crumbs.
  • Press the mixture into the base of a rectangular tin.
  • Freeze for 20 minutes.
  • Dissolve gelatine in half cup of hot water.
  • Pour in condensed milk and add lemon juice.
  • Pour this over the biscuit layer and cool till the gelatine gets set.
  • Dissolve jelly crystals in 450 ml of hot water.
  • Cool it and pour it over the gelatine layer.
  • Freeze till it gets well set. Cut into small pieces.
  • Top it with whipped cream and / or chopped nuts and serve.
