Ingredients

  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Mutton - 1/2 kg
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic and Ginger paste - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 2 tbsp or according to taste
  • Dhania powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 big
  • Tomato - 2
  • Coriander - 4 stems
  • Mint - 2 stems
  • Lemon juice - few drops
  • Coconut paste - 1 tbsp
  • Powdered cloves, elaichi, Cinnamon - 2 each
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Quick Mutton Biryani:

    1. Pour oil and ghee in a pressure cooker.
    2. Add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste. After it's fried well, add tomatoes and fry it on a low flame.
    3. Add chilli powder, dhania powder, salt and coconut paste.
    4. Then add the mutton and pour some water.
    5. Add 1.5 cup water to 2 cups of rice.
    6. When the mutton is cooked, add rice, coriander, mint, powdered spices and lemon juice.
    7. Keep on low flame till the rice is cooked.
    8. For raita add chopped onion, chilli, coriander, mint, salt, few drops of lemon juice to the curd.
