  • Raw Rice (cooking Rice) - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 4 cups
  • Cashew halves - 10
  • Raisins - 10
  • Powdered Cardamom - 1/4 tsp
  • How to Make Quick n Easy Instant Paal Payasam:

    1. Wash rice and drain. Mix rice along with sugar and milk.
    2. Put all these in a pressure cooker.
    3. Cook this with the weight on, on medium flame till you hear 2 to 3 whistles.
    4. Now, change to very low flame and allow it to slow cook for 20 minutes.
    5. Once all the steam has subsided, open the lid.
    6. Fry cashew halves and raisins in butter or ghee and add it in to the payasam (kheer).
    7. Finally, add cardamom powder and mix well.
