Ingredients

  • 3 cups - buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup - besan
  • 1 cup - water
  • 1.5 cups - mixed vegetables (or okra)
  • 1 tsp - methi powder
  • 1.5 pieces red chillies
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp - dhania jeera powder
  • 1 bunch coriander or cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric
  • salt

How to Make Quick n Easy Kadhi

  • Make a paste of besan and water. Add turmeric to buttermilk and cook on medium flame.
  • Add the besan paste to the buttermilk and continue cooking until it boils.
  • Cook the vegetables in a separate vessel.
  • In yet another separate vessel, heat oil and add mustard seeds, methi, chillies, dhania jeera powder.
  • Now mix this with the buttermilk.
  • Mix the cooked vegetables to the buttermilk.
  • Cook for some more time.
  • Add salt and finally garnish with coriander.
