Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 1 cup
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Rava (Sooji) - 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder -2 tsps
  • Onions - 2
  • Salt as needed
  • Oil - 2 tsp for the dough and to deep fry the vadas

How to Make Quick n Easy Maddur Vada

  • In a bowl mix rice flour, maida, sooji.
  • Add red chilli powder, chopped onions and salt as needed.
  • Add 2 tsps of hot oil.
  • Add water and make it into a tight dough.
  • Start heating oil in a pan.
  • Make small balls of the dough.
  • Take a small plastic sheet and pat the balls till it's flat and round.
  • Deep fry the flattened dough in the oil till golden brown.
  • Take out the vada from the pan, drain on absorbent paper and serve with ketchup.
