  • 1.5 lbs - pumpkin, chopped into small pieces
  • 4 tbsp - finely chopped onions
  • 3- green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 3 tsp - oil
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp - milk
  • 1/4 tsp - tamarind paste
  • A few curry leaves
  • Some coriander leaves - chopped finely
  • chilli powder - a little (optional)

How to Make Quick Pumpkin Curry

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard. Once it splutters, add green chillies, curry leaves & turmeric.
  • Next, add onions and fry well.
  • Then add pumpkin pieces, salt and the tamarind water to it.
  • Once pumpkins are cooked, add the milk and heat on medium heat for about 7 - 8 min.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with rice or rotis.
