  • 3 tsp - whole dhaniya
  • 1/2 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp - Methi seeds
  • 6 to 7 dry Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp - Chana dal
  • 10 leaves Curry leaves
  • How to Make Quick Sambar masala:

    1. Dry roast all the ingredients in a pan or small kadai on low flame.
    2. Do not roast curry leaves.
    3. When cool, put all the roasted spices along with curry leaves in a mixer and make a fine powder.
    4. Store this sambar powder in an air tight container or plastic box and use when needed.
    5. This powder can be used twice for making sambar or according to the quantity of the sambar.
