  • Chicken - 1 kg (chopped, cleaned and broken into small cubes)
  • Ginger/Garlic - 1/4 cup (chop equal amounts of Garlic and ginger)
  • Onion finely chopped - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato finely chopped - 1 cup
  • Red Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped - 1/2 cup
  • Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon, Cloves and Cardamom paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Quick South Chicken Gravy:

    1. Grind the ginger-garlic, cinnamon-cloves-half the onions, and half of the mint-coriander mixture.
    2. All these should be ground separately.
    3. First pour 2 tsps of oil in a pan and cook the chicken with a small cup of water and salt until just done. Remove it.
    4. Then pour the required amount of oil in a pan for the gravy. Allow the oil to heat.
    5. Then, fry the cinnamon/clove paste first.
    6. Then, add ginger-garlic paste.
    7. Then, add the remaining onions and fry till it is mixed up with the paste.
    8. Then, add the chopped tomatoes and mix it well with the other paste.
    9. Keep mixing it till the tomato is properly cooked with the paste.
    10. Now, add a little salt as required and also the turmeric-chilli-pepper powders and mix it well till the raw smell disappears.
    11. Now, finally add the chicken to it and mix it well.
    12. Now, add a cup of water to the gravy and allow it to thicken.
    13. Finally, add the remaining coriander leaves before you take it off the fire.
