  • 1 pkt - vermicelli or semiya
  • 1 - small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1- small Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1/ cup - mixed vegetables (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tbsp - sambar powder
  • 1 tbsp -jeera
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • How to Make Quick Vermicelli Upma:

    1. Cook the mixed vegetables and keep aside.
    2. In a pan or kadai, take a tsp of oil and fry the semiya till it turns golden brown in colour. Keep aside.
    3. In the same kadai, take some more oil, add mustard seeds and jeera and let it pop.
    4. Add the onion pieces and saute well.
    5. Next add the tomatoes and fry for sometime.
    6. Now add sambar powder, salt and cook till it becomes soft.
    7. To this add the semiya along with a little water and cook till it becomes soft.
    8. Finally add the mixed vegetables and give it a good stir.
    9. Add the salt seasoning according to your taste.
    10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
