This wonderfully spicy and tangy recipe of Rajasthani red garlic chutney from Rajasthan is just the perfect accompaniment for your snacks and dinner times. This vegetarian sautéed recipe requires very little cooking time and can be made very easily.

Firstly, you need to grind garlic and chillies with little water, vinegar and lemon juice. Next, take heated oil in a small pan and add garlic and chilli paste and salt, and cook and fry the spices for one minute. Your Rajasthani red garlic chutney is ready!

Next, cool the paste before serving it with fried snacks such as samosas, Bhajiyas, and kachoris, or khichdi, or Bajra rotis. Yum!

  • 1/4 cup - garlic flakes ( 3 garlic pods )
  • 14 - 15 dried whole red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - salt ( or to taste )
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice or vinegar or water for grinding

How to Make Rajasthani Red Garlic Chutney

  • Grind together chillies and garlic using lemon juice or vinegar or water for grinding.
  • In a small pan, heat oil. Add garlic chilli paste.
  • Add salt to taste. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Cool and serve with Bajra rotis, Kichhri or any other snack.
