  • Rava 1 cup (Sooji, fine or coarse)
  • Boiled potato - 1, big size
  • Onion - 1, medium
  • Coriander leaves
  • Curry leaves
  • Ginger
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Rava Aloo Vada

  • Boil the potato and mash it thoroughly.
  • Finely chop the onions, green chillies, coriander leaves and ginger.
  • Add these along with the salt and rava to the boiled potato.
  • Mix and knead these ingredients to make a thick dough (resembles chapatti dough in consistency).
  • Divide and make medium-sized lemon balls.
  • Now, heat the oil in a kadai.
  • When the oil is hot, flatten these dough balls on your palm and deep fry.
  • You can fry 4 or 5 at a time.
  • Enjoy it with any chutney of your liking.
