  • 1 cup - rawa
  • 1/4 cup - wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp - chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup - fresh grated coconut
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp - yogurt
  • 3 - green chillies, finely chopped.
  • 2 sprigs - curry leaves, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup - water or as required
  • Banana leaves (optional) - as needed

How to Make Rava Rotti - Semolina Pan Cake

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  • If the batter is a bit thick, add water and bring it to desired consistency.
  • Heat a tawa. Spread the batter on a banana leaf and invert it on the tawa. (If you are not using banana leaf, spread the batter directly on the tawa)
  • Cover the tawa lid and roast on medium heat.
  • Smear oil on the pan cake and flip it.
  • Now roast the other side of the pancake on the tawa.
  • Serve hot with yogurt and pickle or any chutney of your choice.
