Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - rava/sooji
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup - Maida
  • 1 cup - curd/yogurt plain
  • salt
  • 2- Green chilli
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • Asafoetida pinch
  • Curry leaves.
  • 1 or 2 tbsp - Coconut
  • 2tbsp - soaked Channa dal
  • How to Make Rava vadai:

    1. Add curd or yogurt in rava and mix it and soak for 2 to 3 hours for softness. (If you use sour cream, you can make it immediately).
    2. Then add rice flour, maida, green chillies, asafoetida, grated ginger, salt, coconut, chopped curry leaves, channa dal and salt in soaked rava.
    3. Heat the oil and just drop in like pakodas.
    4. When it turns golden brown remove and serve it hot.
