Ingredients

  • 2 - raw banana/plantain(medium)
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 3 - Garlic
  • small quantity - Curry leaves
  • small quantity - mustard
  • small quantity - black gram
  • small quantity - Bengal Gram
  • small quantity - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1 pinch - Asafoetida
  • salt
  • oil
  • How to Make Raw Banana Plantain Fry:

    1. Peel off the skin and cut raw bananas and soak in warm water after adding a little salt and curd.
    2. Boil it for 5 minutes either in pressure cooker or microwave oven.
    3. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard, black gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, and curry leaves.
    4. Then add onions followed by tomatoes, raw bananas, turmeric, chilly powder, coriander powder and a little salt.
    5. Fry the vegetables for some 20 minutes.
    6. Mix the curry so that the ingredients mix well and the vegetables becomes crispy.
    7. Sprinkle a little water if necessary.
