Ingredients

  • 3 - Tomatoes (raw)
  • 1 cup - red gram
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • A small quantity -curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp - black gram dal
  • 1 pinch -asafoetida
  • 3 - Red Chillies
  • 2 tbsp - grated/shredded Coconut
  • salt
  • oil
  • How to Make Raw Tomato Curry:

    1. Wash and cook the dal and keep it aside.
    2. Cut tomatoes into small pieces.
    3. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, fry Bengal gram dal, asafoetida, red chillies and coconut grating and grind them to a paste.
    4. Add tomatoes and heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard seeds, black gram dal, curry leaves, asafoetida and little salt.
    5. Fry for 5 minutes.
    6. Now add cooked dal and the paste and mix them well.
    7. It can be served with any rice item.
