  • 1 cup - semolina
  • 3/4 cup - buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp - Onions (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • Some Cilantro leaves (chopped) as desired
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required
  • How to Make Ready to make oothapam:

    1. Mix semolina and buttermilk and keep aside for 2 hours.
    2. Then add all the above ingredients except oil and mix.
    3. Add water if required.
    4. Heat a non stick pan and grease it with a spoonful of oil.
    5. Add a ladleful of batter and spread it quickly.
    6. Let it cook on medium flame.
    7. Add some oil from the sides.
    8. Cover and cook for some minutes.
    9. Then turn and cook the other side.
    10. Remove when done.
    11. Serve with coconut chutney or ketchup.
