Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Gram flour
  • 1.5 cups - Red Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp - Butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp - Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • Salt
  • Oil for Deep Frying
  • How to Make Red Rice Murukku:

    1. Take the gram flour, red rice flour, butter, sesame seeds, asafoetida powder and salt in a large bowl and mix well.
    2. Add water to turn into soft and smooth dough.
    3. Take the murukku press with your choice of nozzle, heat the oil for Deep Frying, squeeze out directly the murukku dough into the hot oil and fry.
    4. Drain the murukkus on paper towel and store them in an air tight box.
