  • 1.5 cups - besan flour ( chick pea flour)
  • 1/2 cup - Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp - dalda (vegetable shortening)
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - sesame seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Ribbon Murukku:

    1. Add all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix some water. Add 1 tbsp at a time. The consistency should be such that, it is neither too hard nor too soft.
    2. Take a Ribbon Murukku maker and keep ready.
    3. Spoon the prepared dough into the maker and press it over some oil heated in a pan for deep fry.
    4. Let it fry for a minute and then slowly turn it the other side.
    5. Remove it with a slotted spoon once it is browned on both the sides.
