Ingredients

  • 100 g - Basmati Rice or any other long grained Rice washed and drained
  • 3 tbsp - unsalted Butter or Ghee
  • 1 litre - Milk
  • 2 small pieces Cinnamon
  • 4 Cloves
  • 3 tbsp - soft Brown sugar
  • 100 g - Raisins
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • How to Make Rice And Raisin Pudding:

    1. Heat milk in a pan and bring to boil.
    2. Remove from heat then drop in the cinnamon and cloves.
    3. Mix in the brown sugar.
    4. Add the rice, raisins, vanilla essence and butter/ghee and mix well.
    5. Transfer to a baking dish and dot the top with a little butter.
    6. Bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour or till the rice is cooked and the pudding is set.
    7. Serve with ice cream.
