  • Raw Rice - 1 cup
  • Parboiled Rice - 1 cup
  • Grated Coconut - 2 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • How to Make Rice Bhakri:

    1. Soak both the rice together for 4-6 hours. Drain.
    2. Add grated coconut and salt to rice and grind to a soft paste-like batter.
    3. Heat a dosa pan (preferably a non-stick). Lower the flame.
    4. Dip your hand in a bowl of water and lift out a handful of dough.
    5. Pour it on the tawa, and with moist fingers, flatten the dough to about 1 cm thick disc (your fingers must touch only the dough and not the tawa).
    6. Pour some oil or ghee all round it and cook on moderate heat.
    7. When the underside is cooked, turn the bhakri over.
    8. Add some more ghee or oil and cook the other side.
    9. Serve hot or cold with a blob of butter and/or honey or trickle.
