  • 200 g - rice flakes
  • 6-7 - green chillies
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric
  • 1 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 - big onion, finely chopped
  • 3-4 tsp - putnalla powder
  • Oil as required

How to Make Rice Flakes Upma

  • Heat oil in a pan, add urad dal, onions, turmeric powder and then ginger garlic paste.
  • Fry till onions are golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, soak the rice flakes in water for a little while.
  • Squeeze out the water and add to the pan.
  • Add salt and putnalla powder to it. Mix well. Cook for about 3 minutes and remove from heat.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve with pickle.
