Ingredients

  • basmati rice-1/4 cup
  • sugar- as per taste
  • ghee-1 tsp
  • Almond and cashew nut-50 gms
  • Milk - 1 litre

How to Make Rice Payasam

  • Fry the rice in the ghee. Using the blender grind the dry rice to break it into small pices.
  • Boil the milk and then simmer until the milk thickens(quantity of milk reduces to half).
  • Grind the nuts with a little milk. Mix with milk let it boil for few minutes.
  • Add rice and cook well. Add sugar.
  • Let it boil for few minutes. Serve chilled.
