Ingredients

  • 25 slices - bread (preferably a day old)
  • 60 g - clarified butter
  • 230 g - granulated sugar
  • 570 ml - milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup - chopped almonds
  • 1 1/2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp - cinnamon power
  • For the Sauce:
  • 110 g - melted butter
  • 50 g - castor sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence

How to Make Rich Bread & Butter Pudding

  • Line a baking dish and place bread on it. In a bowl, mix sugar, eggs, milk, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
  • Pour this mixture over the bread slices and press with a spatula so that the bread gets soaked.
  • Top with chopped almonds.
  • Add to the clarified butter and press until the chopped almonds also get soaked.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for an hour or so.
  • For Sauce: Add sugar to the melted butter and cook over low flame until sugar dissolves.
  • Do not allow it to turn brown.
  • Beat eggs and add vanilla essence. Add the egg mixture.
  • Cut pudding and pour sauce. Serve hot.
