Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rice
  • 2.5 cups - jaggery
  • 3 tbsps - ghee
  • 3-4 cups - water
  • 1/2 cup - cashew
  • 1 - rose
  • 1/2 cup - condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup - dry coconut, grated

How to Make Rich sweet pongal

  • Boil rice and mash it.
  • Heat the rice in a kadai, add jaggery pieces and ghee, and stir well until jaggery melts.
  • Grind the rose and water to make a paste and add it to the rice.
  • Finally add condensed milk, cashew powder and grated coconut. Heat for 5 mins on low heat.
  • Let it stand for 2 hours. The heat through and serve.
