Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 2.5 cups - Jaggery
  • 3 tbsps - Ghee
  • 3-4 cups - water
  • 1/2 cup - cashew
  • 1 - rose
  • 1/2 cup - condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup - dry coconut, grated
  • How to Make Rich sweet pongal:

    1. Boil rice and mash it.
    2. Heat the rice in a kadai, add jaggery pieces and ghee, and stir well until jaggery melts.
    3. Grind the rose and water to make a paste and add it to the rice.
    4. Finally add condensed milk, cashew powder and grated coconut. Heat for 5 mins on low heat.
    5. Let it stand for 2 hours. The heat through and serve.
