Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 - left over rotis from the previous night or freshly made
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilly powder
  • 4 tsp - Sugar
  • 2 tsp - cooking oil
  • salt
  • How to Make Roti Chivda:

    1. Take the rotis and crumble them up into small pieces.
    2. In a kadai, add the oil and mustard seeds and allow it to pop.
    3. Add the roti crumbs and blend together.
    4. Make sure that the roti does not stick to the kadai.
    5. If you feel it is sticking, add 2 more tsp of oil.
    6. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, sugar and salt.
    7. Mix it well.
    8. Continuously blend the mixture together.
    9. Cook this till the mixture is crunchy.
    10. This dish can be served hot or cold.
