Ingredients

  • 3 - chapatti
  • 1/4 tsp each - cumin and Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/5 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 3-4 - Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 cup - water
  • Salt - to taste.
  • How to Make Roti Saag:

    1. Break chapattis into 1 inch squares roughly. Mix all the masalas in water and stir.
    2. Heat ghee in a sauce pan, splutter cumin and mustard seeds.
    3. Add curry leaves and the masala mix and boil.
    4. When it starts boiling add the chapatti pieces, coriander and lemon juice.
    5. Cook on low, so that the chapatti pieces absorb most of the water and gets a mushy texture.
    6. Serve hot.
