Ingredients

  • 200 g - Icing Sugar
  • 2 - eggs whites, beaten well
  • 3 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - Vanilla essence
  • 1- Cake.
  • How to Make Royal Vanilla Icing:

    1. Sift the icing sugar.
    2. Beat the egg whites till frothy then fold in the icing sugar.
    3. Add the lime/lemon juice and vanilla essence and mix to a stiff consistency.
    4. Brush the cake with a layer of jam or egg white to help the icing stick to the cake.
    5. Add a thin layer of the Almond icing to cover the whole cake.
    6. Use a flat spatula dipped in water to spread the Royal icing over the layer of the Almond icing.
    7. Decorate the cake as desired.
    8. The cake can be iced only with the royal icing if desired.
