  • 200 g - Icing Sugar
  • 2 - eggs whites, beaten well
  • 3 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - Vanilla essence
  • 1- Cake.

How to Make Royal Vanilla Icing

  • Sift the icing sugar.
  • Beat the egg whites till frothy then fold in the icing sugar.
  • Add the lime/lemon juice and vanilla essence and mix to a stiff consistency.
  • Brush the cake with a layer of jam or egg white to help the icing stick to the cake.
  • Add a thin layer of the Almond icing to cover the whole cake.
  • Use a flat spatula dipped in water to spread the Royal icing over the layer of the Almond icing.
  • Decorate the cake as desired.
  • The cake can be iced only with the royal icing if desired.
