Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg (boneless)
  • Bay Leaves - 2
  • Butter - 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon sticks - 2
  • Fenugreek powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Maize flour - 1/2 tsp
  • Onions - 2 (make into paste)
  • Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Spinach puree - 2 cups
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • oil - 4 tbsp
  • salt
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • kasuri Methi - a pinch
  • How to Make Saag Murg Recipe:

    1. Heat oil. Add whole spices, saute for a while .
    2. Add ginger, garlic, tomato pureed and onion paste. Saute till oil separates.
    3. Now add red chilli powder, spinach puree and cook for a while.
    4. Dilute maize flour and add to the gravy.
    5. In another pan, add butter chillies finely chopped and chicken pieces and saute till brown.
    6. Add these chicken pieces to the spinach gravy and kasuri methi too, cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
